AppCanvas

AppCanvas - the area available to a MobileSmith user for the design of the interface for a given page.

Most AppBlocks in the MobileSmith platform have one or more canvases that allow a user to create custom layouts and designs using labels, data, images, etc. Every app created will have a Home Canvas that will serve as the landing page for the app by default (this can be changed).  The Home Canvas is configured differently than other canvases using horizontal and vertical splits that are created by right-clicking anywhere on the canvas.  Go to the Home Canvas page for more details

As you create AppBlocks for an App Project, new canvases will become available inside each AppBlock under the section labeled AppCanvases.  Certain AppBlocks do not have canvases because they utilize standard view controllers like a web view, the Phone app, the email app, or the default mapping app.  Other AppBlocks will give you specific canvas views based on the configuration options you select on the Configuration page for the AppBlock.  Each canvas will have a view type that is defined by its layout, structure, and the functionality available.  Click here for more information on Canvas View Types.
