AppOffice

AppOffice allows you to store data in the MobileSmith platform.  This data can then be used in your app.

In a Flex AppBlock, when you upload a CSV file, the platform stores the data from the CSV in AppOffice.

If you allow app users to create content that is sent to server, the data is stored in AppOffice.

 

You can edit an item by clicking the pencil icon in the far-left column.

 

You can see the active status of any item under the "Active" column.  A check means the item is active and a minus or dash means the item is not active.  When the app user goes to this AppBlock, he will only see items that are active.  Any item that is not active is not displayed.

In the first image on this page, app users would see Herb, Clay, Thomas, and Sally, but they would not see Billy.

 

You can add a new item by clicking the green "Add New Record" button.

You can delete an item by clicking the trashcan icon in the far-right column.

You can export the data into a CSV file by clicking the blue "Export to CSV" button.

 

You can acquire an item's Deep Link by clicking the Deep Link icon just to the left of the delete icon (trashcan) and then copying the URL.  A Deep Link is used primarily for integration with Gimbal™ Technology. It is a short cut that allows an end-user to go directly to a specific page in the app after recieving a Gimbal™ message.


You can change the table settings by clicking the blue "List Display Options" button.

You can set the visible columns as well as the default display of the table.
