Here are some examples of how you can setup your Home page when your Global Navigation is set to None.  One common thread you will notice is that none of these examples put any buttons in the iPhone 5 Extension area (the bottom part of the canvas) - this is because that area is not shown on iPhone 4 devices.

This example includes a Carousel, which has the AppBlock "Featured" as its target.

This example divides up the screen primarily through horizontal splitters.

This example shows how you can create areas of different sizes.

There is no nav bar on the Home canvas, but other pages within the app will show a nav bar - this is where the Back button will appear.

When the Global Navigation is set to either None or Tabs Only, the left-hand menu will have a section "Navigation Bar Canvas" just below "Home Canvas" - this is where you can set the nav bar's Background Color and Text Color.

**NOTE** If the nav bar Background Color includes transparency, the app's Background Image will show "behind" the nav bar.

Device Behavior

On a phone, the app user will not see a nav bar on the Home page, but he will see a nav bar on secondary pages.
